Here for your viewing pleasure is a mint condition size 16 Hamilton #992 Elinvar railroad pocket watch. The 10k Gold Filled Wadsworth case is in great condition with only minor scratching and features a screw off crystal bezel and back plate. The unique crown is stamped Hamilton Railroad and is protected by a bar over top and a handsome bucket handle bail. The double sunk, boxcar style dial is immaculate with no cracks or fading and signed Hamilton. The Arabic markers are as bold and black as the day they were applied. All of this protected by a very clear and scratch-free glass crystal. Removing the case back reveals a bright, clean #992 movement. This engine features 21 jewels and is adjusted to 5 positions. It is signed Hamilton Watch Co. with serial # 2583636 which dates it to circa 1934. It is also stamped "Elinvar" under the balance wheel. The movement is running strong and keeping time, however we cannot offer a guarantee on its future performance. Hamilton pocket watches were the pride of the American watch society.
