This antique ring mounting is versatile in it's design. Set low to the hand, it can be worn as an engagement piece, although a wedding band would have to be custom fitted to sit closely to the ring. The filigree work is well crafted, sturdy enough for every day, and allows light to enter the base of the ring, lighting up the stone from beneath. We've set this ring with a new, bright green Tsavorite Garnet. Mined in Africa, Tsavorite was named for Tsavo National Park, in Kenya. The green shade is slightly brighter, a little more spring like than the deep pine green of demantoid garnets.
