A vintage, manual wind, Swiss made Omax. Circa early 1960s, in very good running order. Tested over several days for accuracy and keeps perfect time. Nice gold 'block' numerals with a black stripe through each. Pearlescent white face that has a very slight mark on the face just to the right of 9-o clock - this is not very noticeable, and common on vintage watches, but I feel I should mention it for accurate description. 38mm lug to lug X 31mm ( not including the crown ) Comes with a new, anti-allergy chocolate brown genuine leather strap. Watch will come in a brand new watch box. POSTAGE FOR THIS WATCH IS FREE OF CHARGE Montres Omax S.A. was formed in 1946 with the aim of becoming one of the leading watch companies in the world. The company initially focused on mechanical timepieces, automatic and self-winding, with its own brand "Omax" in the Middle East and Indian Subcontinent Market. At one time "Omax" was the largest exported watch by volume from Switzerland. Over the years "Omax" has grown successfully and expanded, so that now "Omax" has sales in world-wide. Unfortunately, since the 'demise' of the manual wind watch in the 80s, Omax, to keep up with the changing tastes and trends in the market, began to concentrate on Quartz watches manufactured in the Far East. This had the effect of making their Original vintage Swiss manual wind watches rather sought after and collectible. Discerning buyers and collectors of vintage swiss watches will not be disappointed with little beauty.
