Vintage 1940's Benrus 17 Jewel Manual Wind White Face Plate with Gold Markers and Hour Hands Sub Second Hand Dial . 20 Micron Deep Rich Gold Electroplate Bezel with Stainless Steel Back Case. Mvt identifiers: "Benrus Watch Co Inc....Swiss Seventeen Jewel...Model DN 2A....". Benrus insribed on the Crown as well. Comes with a new dark brown calfskin leather strap. Appx 28x28mm Face Dimensions not including the crown or lugs. Condition: In very good condition. Replaced recently with a new acrylic crystal, worn a couple times may have a mild scuff on the crystal but not at all detracting. Gold plating wear in a few areas like the edges has understandable wear but still polishes and shines. Watch face is amazingly well preserved, on close look can see edge and small wear areas but would have to inspect closely. The goldtone dial hands and markers are very intact and shines. Personal fascination and interest is the mvt which is impeccable and superb. Watch runs, winds and sets time, however will on occasion stop and respond to a light shake if needed. Would benefit with a service and clean to even further the life of this wonderful Benrus watch. While replacing the crystal which was too worn and age worn also had a new what I prefer a simple vintage leather band to accent the simplicity and beauty of this Benrus. ** See Pictures. Note: The more I have had Benrus watches no matter the time period and design I am very impressed with the design and the movement inside.
