The square, stepped case, was all the rage, during the 1930's, and remains popular today. We do not repair watches, or dare take them apart. This Bulova watch does work, but it has been packed away for a long time. This watch would benefit greatly from a dial, and crystal cleaning, and a little TLC. It acid tests as 10K, or perhaps, 10K rolled gold. Serial number on back is 8360136; BULOVA is stamped on back also. Band is marked Baldwin, 1/20 10kt Gold Filled Top.The case has a white plastic, footed base, with the BULOVA name, in raised letters on the front. The rest of the case is purple velvet, including the display stand. The lid lining is purple satin with gold BULOVA, Fifth Avenue, New York, printing. You can still find 1930's watches, but how often do they come in their original Art Deco box?
