Altair Watches

Altair is a name used by the Hamilton Watch Co. of Lancaster, PA on one model of their Hamilton Electric wrist watches. This model was introduced in 1961. The Hamilton Electric was produced until several years before Hamilton ceased manufacturing watches in the USA in about 1969. The present Hamilton company is producing a number of replicas of these Hamilton Electrics which are now made in Switzerland and have modern quartz movements in them. Altair watches were made in the 50's and 60's by a Swiss company called J. Boillat & Fils, of Les Breuleux.
