This Art Moderne, 1940's Omega bracelet watch is was a real treat to find! It speaks for itself that Omega has long been known as a respected and outstanding watchmaker. To acquire one of their red gold bracelet watches from those fabulous 40's is rare. The last one we found was more than a decade ago - and we're always on the look out. Measuring a lovely 19mm wide (approx .75") and rising 5mm in depth, this sits gorgeously on the wrist. It is the full bracelet length of 7.5" meant to fit a little loose - as a bracelet does on the hand. Very secure hidden fold over clasp blends with the horizontal links of the bracelet. A fine safety chain adds additional security. Silky smooth half moon links look and feel wonderful on the wrist - and the chunkiness fits right in with the larger watches of today. The timepiece itself measures 16mm x 18mm (excluding the winding stem)and is 8mm high to the top of the thick beveled crystal so it tucks in nicely with the width of the bracelet. Silvered Face, large black Arabic numerals at 6,9,12 & 3 with raised gold markers for the other hours. Gold target Hands. Appropriate Black Omega markings beneath 12 o'clock. CONDITION: Very fine vintage condition with only the expected historic wear to note. Any fine wear scratches and age related tarnishing to the gold will be buffed by our jeweler when the watch is serviced. Crystal is original to the piece. Keeping excellent time, this piece will go out for a professionally servicing this week (as is our policy with all fine timepieces before shipping.) Weight by scale: 32 grams. All appropriate Omega and 14K Markings on the timepiece and on the clasp of the bracelet. 17 Jewel Swiss Movement, this model was produced in the USA and is so marked.
