1930s beautiful and unusual straw pouch-style pocketbook, with colorful embroidery and white glass beading, lined with beige silk faille with a small ivory silk label, "Made In France." Structured with a square base, which is also embroidered in a stylized floral design with blue, green, dark red, and brown threads and white glass beads. The closure is tan cotton rope with pulls that are also embroidered and beaded. Size: 6-1/2" base with four 6" sides. Condition is excellent, with bright colors and no damage on the fine straw, a few white glass beads appear to be missing from otherwise perfect rows of beads. There is also a row of white glass beading inside the top of the pocketbook, where the lining meets the straw.
