Base of Cuff: Here's another one of our trademark spectacular designs. This Gothic cuff has at its foundation a rich layer of thick, soft cotton twill. Another layer of gray cotton is added to that, with gathers sewn in for texture and depth. One end of the cuff is finished in black suede while the other end has a piece of black leather sewn into a loop that holds the elastic band that serves as the closure. Running down the length of the cuff is a strip of gray/pewter mesh and a thin ribbon of black velvet. This serves as the backdrop for all of the various elements... Focals and Details: If you've ever wanted the ultimate Gothic accessory, with a morbid reminder of how time is always working against us, then look no further. This cuff has a large black vintage button on one end that serves as the hook for the opposing elastic band on the other end, which makes this cuff a snap to put on. In the center of this amazing piece is an actual piece of metal bird cage that is already bent into a gentle curve so it conforms easily to your wrist. Mounted on top of this cage - you might have noticed it - is a jet black bird, a small version of a raven or crow. This recreation has genuine feathers and is complete with a replica beak and matching jet black eye. Some people you know might find this unnerving, but you probably want those people to go away anyway... Mounted beneath the raven is a really large silver pocket watch plate with four large brass prongs jutting out of it. In the center is a large brass gear with a central geared cylinder that comes to a point, so if those people haven't gone away yet, you have the means to encourage them to do so. To the left of these pieces is a gorgeous array of large vintage brass clock gears with two large ornate black clock hands reaching out from amid them, one pointing up and the other pointing down. Several of these brass clock gears have silver pocket watch winding stem crowns mounted on top of them. Resting atop all of these pieces is a large antique ceramic pocket watch dial with big black numerals. Mounted to the center of the cial is a small gold winding stem crown and a small brass gear also adorned with a gold winding stem crown. The idea here is that time is always ticking away, and the ever watchful raven is marking that time, waiting... Totally an over the top cuff that will definitely be a conversation piece no matter where you go.
