This is a cute little watch from the 1950's. It is made by Omega watch company. It features a square face with 12,3,6, and 9 hour markers, the rest are slash marks. The case is 14 karat white gold. It is rectangular in shape and has two cone shaped pieces at the 12 and 6 o'clock markers. This is where the band attaches. The band is a black, what appears to be felt and leather combination band. I'm not sure if the band is original to the piece, but it looks very nice. The back is engraved "Lenore from Jim Christmas '56". It is done in a hand engraved script font. It could easily be buffed off and removed. This piece is not in working order. The jeweler opened the watch and there is a gear that is loose. The screw is broken in half, so this would need to be repaired or replaced. This watch could also be easily retro-fitted to hold and new quarts movement. Any watch maker should be able to do this. The movement is Omega. The number inside is 12343727. It has 17 jewels in the movement and it is swiss. The inside of the back of the watch is engraved 5532 and the Omega insignia. The piece weighs about 4-5 grams of 14 karat white gold. This is an adorable little watch. It would be a great piece to have cleaned up and repaired. We are selling it mostly at just gold content so it is a great buy!
