This engagement ring has some interesting features! The diamond is a late Transition cut, dating, along with the ring itself, to the 30's or 40's. It has more facets than a European cut, but still has a tiny, open culet. The effect of this cut is a star, seen deep inside the stone! The mounting itself has four split prongs, so that eight points of conact hold the stone in place and frame it perfectly. The shoulders are inlaid with small, marquis cut diamonds, a unique detail that enhances the beauty of the ring overall.
