This is an 18k White Gold FIligree Ring, dating to the 1920s. Originally intended as a cocktail ring, the East / West, band like orientation makes it suitable for a wedding band or unusual engagement ring. The lacy filigree is delicate looking but strongly made, and will stand up to another 100 years of wear. The center stone of this pretty piece is synthetic sapphire. Synthetic Sapphire has the same chemical composition as natural sapphire but was grown in a laboratory instead of mined from the ground. This was fresh, brand new technology in the 1920's, and Synthetic Sapphire far out-paced natural sapphire during that era! The side stones are two sweet diamonds with lots of sparkle! Metal: 18k White Gold Center Stone: Synthetic Blue Sapphire 2.4mm square Side Diamonds: 2 diamonds total .30 carat, these are eye clean and quite sparkly Time Period: 1920s Size of Ring: 6 1/4 but can be sized to fit almost any finger (please see our sizing policies for more information). This ring measures 7.3 mm in thickness, has a profile of 4.4 mm off the finger, and is 15 mm from shoulder to shoulder. SKU #: RGSYS103D At the time of sale our jewelry is shipped with a certificate of authentication and/or an appraisal for insurance purposes.
