Any servicing required can be accomplished through independent master watchmakers. PVD COATING - WHAT IS IT? Physical Vapor Deposition (PVD) is a process commonly used to coat metallic objects with different coatings to improve their durability. The technology has been around for decades, typically used to coat objects like surgical instruments, helicopter rotor blades and F1 racing car parts to increase their scratch resistance, weather resistance and reduce friction. Our PVD coating process has been specially modified for Swiss timepieces giving them an ultra-hard scratch resistant military grade coating in an elegant stealth-black finish. One type of coating that can be applied through the PVD process is called Diamond-Like Carbon (DLC). Our DLC coating consists of combining a number of different elements with Carbon such as Titanium and Nitrogen. The DLC coating results in placing a chemical barrier on the watch to protect against the elements, reduce the effects of oxidation and achieve a high degree of hardness (up to 10,000 Vickers depending on the process). To put things in perspective the 316L stainless steel used to construct most high watches has a rating of 400 Vickers, 904L a.k.a. "Rolex Steel" has a rating of 490 Vickers and sapphire crystal has a rating of 2,500 Vickers. EXCHANGE AND RETURN POLICY 10 DAY EXCHANGE PERIOD We offer a 10 day exchange period for any of our Rolex watches to make sure you are 100% satisfied with your PVD Rolex watch purchase. RETURN POLICY In order to keep costs low, we cannot ship watches across the country to "try on" so please ensure that the watch you order is the one you want. All watches we ship include special security tags on the face and back of the watch that indicates tampering and removal. Once removed, the watch is considered "used", and is non-refundable. All returns may be subject to a 20% restocking fee. WARRANTY All PVD Rolex watches sold come with a 1 year warranty on the movement (all internal parts) of the watch, as well as a 2 year warranty on the coating which entitles you to 1 free recoating per year if you choose.
