What a beautiful time piece from a bygone era. This Illinois Railroad Pocket watch was made in 1882 serial number(416308).It is called a sidewinder because it is wound at the 3 o'clock position. The case was made by Dueber and is Silverine(Nickle)case number (07603). The watch was just clean, oiled and inspected by a certified watch repair jeweler. The case is in good condition with no bad scratches only a few surface marks. The face is marked Illinois Watch Co. and has a second hand. The things that I see wrong are.. The face has a chip I think around the second hand dial, and there is a small flea bite in the very thick 1/8" crystal on the front at 4 o'clock other then those two things this watch is wonderful. The watch weighs a hefty 159 grams.
