This is a very attractive vintage Gruen Precision 17 jewel wristwatch crafted in the 1950s. The case is polished satin stainless steel with screw back, GRUEN signed, size 43mm LUGS TO LUGS X 36mm with winding crown. No personalized engraving back original polished plastic crystal. Not tested for water resistant (assume it isn't). Excellent original finished luminous dial, hands and dot markers. Applied high gloss stainless steel markers and numerals "GRUEN PRECISION", under 12o'clock, "17 Jewels" above the 6 o'clock and "Swiss Made" under the 6 o'clock The luminous dial still glowing. The dial also features a sweeping second hand. The movement is a high quality 17 jewel manual wind. Powered by a Gruen RS510ss. Accurate 18,000 A/H ~ 42 hour power reserve. The movement has been cleaned, (removed from the case, stripped into individual parts, hydro-sonically cleaned, rinsed, dried, parts inspected, lubricated re-assembled and timed). The watch has a nice beat and is running strong. Also included is a high grade genuine leather band with polished chrome plate buckle deployment buckle. And the presentation outer and inter-box Would make a nice gift for someone special are treat yourself to a nearly new old vintage watch!
