Sophisticated style and commanding performance from Jean Marcel. The extraordinary Astrum commences with a round silver-tone stainless steel case. The bezel features 18K rose gold over stainless steel, giving it a subtle yellow gold hue. Your limited edition number out of 300 comes etched on the left side of the hand diamond lapped and satin finished case. A push and pull crown with function pushers puts control at your fingertips. Revealing the intricate inner workings of the accomplished Swiss Made JM Caliber A05 Reconstructed Base Valjoux 7750 Mechanical Chronograph movement, an exhibition back completes the 15mm thick build.Beneath a scratch-resistant sapphire crystal, a round Havana tobacco brown dial features luminous Superluminova accented rose-tone stick index markers at all hour positions. Double markers appear at 12:00. In a stunning interconnected linear cream colored subdial display, a 30-minute subdial shows below 12:00, a subdial measuring kilometers resides at the center of the dial and a 12-hour subdial appears above 6:00. With over two and a half years in engineering and pre-production, the reconstructed and repositioned function positions make this the first vertical chronograph in the world. A day of the week window surfaces near 3:00 while a date window extends across the bottom of the hour subdial. Superluminova accented rose-tone hour and minute hands, a rose-tone red tipped chronograph hand and black subdial hands deliver the time. Adding to the refined look, a black faux ostrich embossed leather strap tapers from 22mm wide to 20mm at the last hole. Fitting up to approximately an 8-1/4" wrist, the strap secures with a name and logo etched push button dual deployant clasp.
