The Rolex Datejust was introduced in 1945 and has been a mainstay of Rolex watches ever since. Being the first watch to display the date through and apeture dial. The brilliant cyclops eye introduced in future models become a Rolex signature design. Admired for its classic design the Datejust became an icon for its class and design. This particular Datejust features 18k yellow gold bezel and a two tone 18k and stainless steel Jubilee bracelet. The black dial is a classic design and is perfect for any occassion especially business meetings weddings and other professional attire events. Throughout history some Datejusts have been nicknamed Thunderbirds in honor of US Air Force pilots. Chuck Yeagar a former US Air Force pilot broke the sound barrier wearing the one and only Rolex Datejust.
